This is a personal blog where I’ll share reflections on research papers I read, as well as random thoughts and personal projects.
Hopefully having a public-facing space for this kind of thing will be a good incentive to collect my thoughts in a more structured way.
This is also my way of trying to push back on spending so much of my time reading and posting on social media and directing that energy to something that might eventually be a useful reference. It would be more hip to set up a Substack, but that’s basically a blog distributed via email updates…
I chose to use WordPress (on an AWS Lightsail instance) because I have set up and abandoned quite a few blogs made with static website generators like Hugo and Jekyll. This way I get a serviceable rich text editor for free (actually, for ~4$ a month) after an hour of setup and fiddling with CSS.
I’m not going to do anything fancy, so hopefully I’ll never have to touch PHP. 🙏🙏🙏
